A demon or angel can consist of various miniatures

I think it is a good idea when a demon or angel joins the battle with some of his minions or vassals. It gives the character another feel of importance.

We want epic scale and what could be more epic than weaklings taking the fall for their master.

2018 AUGUST

More modeling outside of my comfort zone

This month I wanted to build two really difficult miniatures. A level 2 and a level 3 demon.

Just by the way, I don't know if these "level names" will last until the end. Maybe they will be classified differently later but at the moment I prefer to stick with simple, practicable names that make sense to my game testers. Why overcomplicate things?

The Level 2 Demon consists of five miniatures. It is a kind of goat herder that leads demons that are "fused" with goats into battle. The idea was that as soon as all his goats are dead, he drops the whip and continues fighting with a sword. This mechanic must then become playable with his cards.

THE DEMON TWINS

The level 3 Demon consists of 3 miniatures. The idea was a twin miniature who would shapeshift into pig forms when killed.

They get a bonus on their defensive and regenerate damage points. If they stand side by side when a certain number of damage points have been regenerated, the miniatures will combine again to form the Demonic Twins again. The opponent can kill the demon by destroying its bust which is placed on the board after splitting.

That sounds complicated at first, but when you see the figures on the board, it's actually quite easy to understand.

I printed this miniature in grey resin. As said before I have gotten better results with the blue stuff, but I simply ran out of it. Sometimes it hurts a bit to throw all the support structures away because that’s actually a loooot of resin wasted. But its nevertheless a wonderful material and creates models of beautiful detail.

THE DEMON TWINS

I love miniatures wich are actually whole sceneries. It gives the game something that i have never seen before. It is not only a miniature but a scene from a movie. I really like this idea.

ANOTHER ONE OF THE CHAMPIONS

I have some really weird ideas for all of the Champions. Sometimes you can't even take them too seriously. There has to be at least a bit of funny stuff in the game I think.

For contrast.

I feel the quality level rise

Additionally I finished a champion called “King Klaus”. He’s a champion who gives out upgrades to the peeps in his army. You know… presents… I still have to rework him sometimes because I made a serious error. Can you spot it? :D I also created a mage champion.

All of those miniatures are only "first versions" that I would throw away if i get better ideas, but for now they work and I am proud of them.

This was a month of pure modeling and designing. I got a LOT of useful input from my friends which enabled me to make the miniatures SO MUCH better. Well, when you are modeling for 10-15 hours straight you tend to lose the oversight. Then you need a person you trust for solid critique. That’s really important to have someone with artistic and aesthetic skills around you.
