A very good russian artist started to paint some pictures of my characters for me. The colors are not too bright, minimalistic and at the same time conveys a sense of detail.
She is very busy and I don't know if she can do all of the paintings, but i would be open to it.
ITEMS & MINIATURES in THE REALMS
The demons and angels are located in the realms. The souls of people who die on the earth boards have to cross the realms until they find a new home in the army of one of the monsters (angels or demons). Each soul that is in a monster army is also a hitpoint for the respective creature. On their way into a monster's army, the souls can collect three different things: Coins, which can be used to buy buildings and people on Earth, Hourglasses, which can be used to perform re-rolls and draw Armageddon Clock cards, and Idols, which can give the monsters more power should they eventually come to Earth.
At the moment I'm still thinking about whether the champions are also in the realms at the start of the game, where they have to be activated by souls, or whether they are on Earth at the start of the game.
NEW REALM SETUP
Printing and painting of the new Angel
I am very happy that since i have the new printer, the misprint rate went down dramatically. Also I love the enhanced detail that really pops out when the miniature is painted.
Being tough with yourself and your stuff
As you can see in the gallery, I also worked this month on one of the most elaborate miniatures the game has to offer. The working title of the angel is "Madan the Throne-Mason". The angel consists of a total of 9 miniatures: The main miniature and his bust, as well as 7 other smaller monkeys. The rules for this giant angel are still under development.
You can also see in the gallery how I tried to create an illustration of a demon totem with ZBrush and Photoshop. There is a nice render option in ZBrush that draws very easily adjustable and controllable outlines around the individual elements. I think this is a very nice way to create artwork for cards. I will continue to explore these possibilities in the future and perhaps improve my technique.
